Digitalization timeline
SeyGo Connect, the Seychelles Government Portal, that enables access to all government services, acting as a single-window portal, was implemented. The cross-sectoral National ICT Policy (NICTP), based on five guiding principles, ICT Infrastructure, Legal and Regulatory Framework, Human Resource Development, ICT Industry, and Government, and the National ICT Strategic Plan were adopted.
The Government of Seychelles launched the Computerised Case Administration System of Seychelles (CCASS), a case management system software that enabled to automate case registration and processing, and Seychelles Legal Information Institute (SeyLii) website that contains Seychelles primary legal information, legislation and case law.
The Medium-Term National Development Strategy (2013-2017) that defined ICT development as one of the four important pillars of the economic infrastructure was published.
The National Tender Board Seychelles website that contains information on tenders and tender archives sorted by category was created.
The Department of ICT (DICT) Institutional Strategic Plan (2018-2022) aimed at the development of digital government services was introduced.
The Seychelles National Development Strategy 2019-2023 (NDS) and Vision 2033 were published.
The judiciary of Seychelles launched a new website which provides access to legislation, decisions and cases for hearing in all courts of Seychelles, and enables users to download forms and Practice Directions for lawyers. The re-designed Trade Portal, that contains market and regulatory information for export and import operations, as well as smart tools on legislation and trade statistics, was launched. The SeyID Portal, a digital identity platform connected with other eGovernment services was launched in partnership with WISeKey International Holding, a cybersecurity company.
The renewed Seychelles Tax Portal was introduced.
Seychelles Department of Tourism launched a Visit Seychelles Mobile App which allows visitors to plan their itinerary for the stay. Central Bank of Seychelles launched the Seychelles Public Transformation Corporation bus cards which allow the adoption of digital payments. Since July 1, cash payments for fares have not been accepted.
Child Care Benefit Information System (CCBISS) launched.
Implementation of the Tailored Integrated Approach for Early Warning Systems (TIAEWS SYC) project in Seychelles to strengthen disaster response governance through digital data management and institutional coordination.
