Introduction of the Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). Memorandum of Understanding between the National Folklore Board and the MTN to digitise Ghana’s folklore. Launch of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), the core platform technology for the NIS, which enables accurate and prompt fingerprint matching with real-time accessibility by authorities. Ghana launched a national e-procurement system. The initiative was funded by the World Bank.
