Announcement of the digital ID project — Maisha Card based on Maisha Namba, a lifelong personal ID number which is to replace Huduma Number. Modernisation of the eCitizen platform. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki announced Kenya’s plan to implement an Advanced Passenger Information system and e-Gates. The President announced the launch of Gava Mkononi, a government app providing access to 5,000+ e-services via National ID. Launch of the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy Strategic Plan 2023-2027.
