The Strategic Plan 2021/2022-2025/2026 aims to prevent corruption, enhance e-Government capacity, improve regulatory frameworks, and implement government authentication infrastructure. The e-Government Authority replaced the E-Government Agency, with the E-Government Act No. 10 of 2019 providing a legal framework for managing e-Government. The E-Government RIDC was established for e-government research and initiatives, and the Ubunifu Portal was launched.

The eFiling System was introduced. MAJI-IS was created to simplify operations, management, and revenue control for Tanzania’s Water Authorities and Basin Water Boards (used by 195 entities). e-Government Security Operation Centre (e-GSOC) was established to develop mechanism to ensure e-Government security.

The assessment of e-Governance status and Service Delivery Survey was conducted. The second e-Government Agency Strategic Plan 2016/17-2020/21 was developed. Biometric registration of irregular immigrants in Tanga, supported by the International Organisation for Migration, was implemented.
